TANGGUNGJAWAB SEORANG MUSLIM or should i say,Muslimah......

Inilah topik yang dibentangkan oleh Ukht tersayang, Ukht Maryam @ e Usrah held

on 27th January 2007,the very first one in 2007Masehi and also in 1428Hijrah.

Ukht Maryam managed to clear our thoughts on our roles as Muslims via drawing a

mindmap on a large piece of mahjong paper.

Basically,A Muslim has 3 roles: Towards his GOD(ALLAH), towards his OWN SELF and

towards his fellow creations(MAKHLUQ).

1-Towards Allah, a Muslim has to do ibadah. 'ibadah' here means any act which can

make a person closer to Allah that is performed only for Allah,such as solat and doa.

This role is necessary to ensure that a person is constantly in contact with his

creator.

2-Towards himself. A Muslim has to take care of himself. He has to give his body,soul

(ruh) and mind(akal) what they need.The body needs food.The soul needs spiritual

input(eg by zikir and reading of the Holy Quran.)The mind is thirsty for knowledge.

All these have to be provided for one's self.

3-Towards his fellow creations, a Muslim has to do good.One of the most important

aspects of this role is al-Amru bil Ma'ruuf wan Nahyu 'anil Munkar.


We also discussed a lil' bit about the roles of us teenage Muslims.

Kak Maryam said something which i personally won't ferget: " orang kate,kite ni muda

hanya sekali,jadi perlu enjoy..TAPI,tidakkah kerana kita hanya muda sekali ini,kite

perlu memanfaatkannya sebaik mungkin untuk menjadi khalifah Allah di muka bumi

ini??"

Another point she raised was about how most youngsters today waste their time on BGR

when the time should be used for da'wah.According to her,all of us, boys and girls

alike, are Allah's agents.We are supposed to work hand in hand for Islam.However,when

this supposed cooperation is misused, many problems arise.

Lastly, she advised us to be careful that boys do not fail in their duty as ALLAH's

agents just because we 'goda' them or they 'tergoda' dengan kita.

When we do everything to get Mardhaatillaah, Allah will surely make it easy for us

a when the time is just right nd give us someone who is also loved by Him and also

strives to get Mardhaatillah...cos Allah(s.w.t) has said:

(الطيبات للطيبين و الطيبون للطيبات)

wassalaam....

**Ana harap lebih banyak lagi org boleh meluangkan mase utk menghadiri Usrah
next time..
