Salaam,
in this month of barakah,i wanna share something i read a few weeks ago.it left me pondering this thought-how's my iman?
the story had e simple title:(Ummu Habibah)
She's,as u know,one of our propet Muhammad's wives.
she happens to be e daughter of Abu Sufyan,an influential Quraish leader who was one of e worst enemies of Islam b4 he embraced Islam.
she was married of to Ubaidullah bin Jahsh.
when islam came, both of them were one of e first to embrace it.
they encountered many trials.
they 'hijrah'ed to Habsyah.
She stayed there til e prophet came to ask 4 her hand in marriage.
What happened to her husband?(this is e part that shocked me,cos i've never heard of it b4)
One nite, she dreamt of her husband looking very ugly.
she woke up wondering about her dream.Naturally, she was a bit puzzled.
Then, her husband entered upon her.He told her-"i have returned to my previous religion,i.e, Christianity"
imagine her shock!
the muslims tried to get him to return to islam, but to no avail....
here,i started thinking...how is my iman compared to Ubaidullah's?
It must be a lot smaller in size,as he was one of e 'Saabiquunal Awwaluun!
if he can 'murtad',wat about me?
I'm just an ordinary girl who's not yet been tested!Aaaah!Allah, protect me from all evil!
This reminded me of e verse frm e holy quran"A person does not know wat he will do 2mrw"(last verse of surah Luqman)
i ask Allah that u all n i will 'ditetapkan iman n mati dalam husnul khatimah.Ameen!
Ramadan mubarak!
that's all frm me 4 now,
zulfa
(take care of Al Quran,Allah'll take care of u -})
